Transcript[]

Tigger: Come on, Piglet, old pal. Tell us a scary ghost story. Somethin' full of "spookables" and "horribibble" creatures. Eh, and things that go shopping in the night.

Piglet: Well, actually, I thought I might tell a not-so-scary story. A story about a scientist.

Tigger: A mad scientist, Piglet?

Piglet: Oh, no, not mad at all. Quite happy and cheerful, really. (Chuckles) Once upon a time...

Tigger: Say! It's the middle "of broad daylight." Even a not-so-scary scary story has to happen at night, ya know.

Piglet: Oh, but this one happens in the daytime.

Tigger: Night!

Piglet: Day!

Tigger: Night!

Piglet: Day!

Tigger: Morning!

Piglet: Evening! Oh, dear!

Tigger: That's better. (Chuckles) Although a nice thunderstorm wouldn't hurt.

Piglet: Ah, y-yes. Well, as I was saying, there was a very pleasant and cheerful scientist. Mm-mm. Peanut butter and jelly. My favorite. And it's so very good for you too.

Tigger: Gasp!

Piglet: What is it? What is it?

Tigger: Why, this story is so unscary, it's scary! I got better things to do than listen to this. Think I'll go trim my toenails. Or better yet, I'll go trim Pooh's toenails.

Rabbit: Oh, Tigger, where are your manners?

Tigger: I don't know. But I bet they're havin' more fun than I am.

Rabbit: Tigger, behave!

Tigger: Well, if you're gonna have a story about a scientist, he ought to at least be doin' something "terribibble"! Like creatin' a bogey-bogey monster!

Piglet: Mo-mo-monster?

Tigger: Yeah, the Monster Frankenpooh.

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear!

Tigger: Ooh-hoo-hoo! "Absotutely" perfect! Uh, only, he ought to be a little bit bigger on that. No, even bigger. Biggerer!

Pooh: Oh, bother!

Tigger: Now, that's what I call a monster. (Chuckles)

Piglet: Oh, help! S-S-Save me! H-H-Help me! Oh, save me! Oh, dear! This is so very terrifying.

Pooh: I... want... honey?

(Rabbit Hums)

Pooh: Honey!

Rabbit: A mo... A mo... A mo...

Gopher: A mo... A mo... A mo... A mon-ster-r-r-r! Ooh!

Tigger: Tremblin' in your socks, are ya? Clingin' to the edge of your seats, maybe? There was no stoppin' the "giganticically" monstrous monstrosity.

Pooh: Honey!

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear! Tigger, I'm afraid this has become a not-at-all-so-not-so-very-scary story. Perhaps I'd better tell it, because I really think the monster... shouldn't be quite that size.

Tigger: Oh, you're right, Piglet! He ought to be maybe "quadrupally" as big.

Pooh: Um, Tigger, I seem to have reached the top of the picture.

Tigger: So you have. Maybe I overshot it by a few "feetsies."

Pooh: Thank you, Tigger.

Tigger: And so, the monster was back on his "unendingless" search for...

Pooh: Honey!

Tigger: There was no stopping the feastin' beastie. Everybody was up to their necks in arms, 'cause the knew who was "responsibibble" for the "terribibble" monster... that was terrorizing them.

Rabbit: It's that mad Dr. Von Piglet.

Gopher: He's the one who made the monster.

Piglet: Eee!

Gopher: Let's boll him in tomato juice!

(All Laughing)

Piglet: Oh, no! Stop this story! Please, it was an accident. I-I-I didn't mean to do it. Honest. I just wanted it to be a nice, not-so-scary story.

Tigger: But, Piglet, it's nothin' to get so upset about.

Gopher: It was just a silly story.

Rabbit: Of course, Piglet. There was no monster. No one's angry at you.

Piglet: N-N-No?

Rabbit: You really should learn the difference between what's real and what isn't. Shoudn't he, Pooh?

Pooh: Yes, Piglet, you really should. And, uh, so should I. Oh, bother.

Piglet: Yow! Oh, d-d-dear!

Pooh: Hang on tight, Piglet! Isn't this fun? Whee!

Tigger: Ya-hoo! Hoo-hoo-hoo! Higher! Higher!

Owl: (Hoots) Tallyho!

Eeyore: Sure looks like fun, not that I'll ever have any.

Gopher: Hey, what's all this racket? Oooh! Hey, watch where you're goin', you Sunday driver.

Tigger: Ha-ha-ha! Hiya, Gopher!

Gopher: Don't "hiya" me, sonny! How do you expect a fella to get any sleep with all this noise? Hmmph! Don't you people know it's past your bedtime?

Tigger: Bedtime?

Gopher: Whoa! Ahhh!

(All) Whoa! Whoa!

Tigger: Tiggers need their beauty sleep too, ya know. Ah-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Rabbit: I'm coming back first thing in the morning for my turn.

Tigger: Me too. It's the early bird that steps on the worm.

Eeyore: But even the worm gets a turn before me.

Tigger: Hey, Piglet, better get home too. Don't want to be out here with the lights out. The woods are full of bumpities and spookables.

Piglet: Spookables? Oh, dear! Oh, d-d-dearie, dear!

(Wind Blowing)

Eeyore: Ooohhh!

Pooh: What was that?

Eeyore: Ooohhh!

Tigger: What was that? Either the moon's got termites, or it's them spookables! I'd better "investagrate."

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear! I don't like it when the night squeaks!

Eeyore: Ooohhh!

Piglet: Yikes! There! What I can't hear can't hurt me.

Eeyore: Ooohhh!

Piglet: Oh, n-n-no! Oh, much better! Now I can't see "or" hear it. B-B-But what if it can see and hear me? Help! Pooh! Oh, dear, I have to get to Pooh's house. He'll know what to do. Whoa!

(Crash)

Piglet: Pooh!

Gopher: Hmm. Somethin' might strange goin' on around here.

Piglet: Whoa! Oh, d-d-dear!

Pooh: (Gasps) A ghost!

Piglet: Where? Where?

Pooh: Help!

Piglet: Aaahhh!

Pooh: Yaaah!

Eeyore: Ooohhh!

Tigger: Gasp! A spookable! No bumpity's gonna get the drop on me. Ooof! Hey, Eeyore, watcha doin' out here actin' all scary-like?

Eeyore: Learnin' to swing. Don't get a chance durin' the day.

Tigger: Oh, the poor guy. Heh-heh-heh! Well, don't worry! I'll learn ya to swing like a nightingale!

Eeyore: I can't hardly wait.

Gopher: What I want to know is... how we're supposed to catch a ghost.

Rabbit: Surprise!

Pooh: Why, thank you, Rabbit! (Chuckles) Is it my birthday again so soon?

Rabbit: No, no, no! We have to catch the ghost by surprise.

Gopher: I'll surprise him... (Chuckles) With this.

Owl: Hoo-hoo! I say, I "do" hate to bring this up, but before we confront the apparition, we do have to find him, don't we?

Rabbit: That's right, unless "he..." finds "us" first!

Tigger: Since you're havin' trouble holdin' onto the swing, this glue... will hold the swing onto you! Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

(Strains)

Eeyore: I got a sticky feelin' about this.

Tigger: One, two, three, shove!

Eeyore: Whoa!

(Crash)

Tigger: Heh-heh-heh! Worked on this end. Ah-ha! Hey, Eeyore, I know what the problem is.

Eeyore: Glad somebody does.

Tigger: It's not your swingin', it's your landin's! Ha! Them I can fix.

Piglet: I should be brave, at least brave enough... to peek out and see something besides my feet. But suppose I peeked out and "did" see something besides my feet? Pooh!

Pooh: Did you hear that?

Rabbit: I-It's the g-g-ghost!

Pooh: Now's your chance to surprise it, Rabbit.

Rabbit: Maybe we should just write it a letter?

Gopher: I got somethin' special delivery for it. Follow me!

Pooh: My, the dark certainly is... dark in here.

Piglet: Ugh! Excuse me.

Owl: Quite all right.

Piglet: Thank you.

(All) A ghost!

Piglet: Oooh!

(All) The ghost!

Rabbit: Where? Where?

(All) Aaah!

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear!

(All Yelling)

Piglet: Pooh Bear?

Pooh: Why, hello, Piglet. (Chuckles) What were you doing hiding inside of that ghost?

Piglet: Well, you see, uh... There was, uh, and then...

Rabbit: Ha! I knew there were no such things as ghosts all the time.

Piglet: Oh, but there is a ghost, Rabbit. I... I heard it.

Pooh: Yes, Piglet, and we heard you too.

Gopher: Ha! Ghosts.

Piglet: There it is!

Gopher: Well, looks like we're gonna investigate after all.

Tigger: Hmm, you know what you ought to have?

Eeyore: My stuffing examined.

Tigger: No! Hoo-hoo-hoo! A head "protectorizer"!

Eeyore: Wonderful.

Tigger: There, now ya can know which way's front. Hold onto your hooves! Ready?

Eeyore: No, but go ahead anyway.

Tigger: Charge!

Gopher: Come on, ya scaredy-cats! Nothin' here but...

Eeyore: Ooohhh!

Piglet: The g-g-g-ghost!

Tigger: Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

(Crash)

Tigger: Hiya, Pooh Boy! Ha-ha-ha! What are you guys doin' out in the darkity dark?

Pooh: That's no ghost. (Chuckles) That's Tigger.

Piglet: Then w-w-what's that?

Eeyore: That's what I'd like to know. Help!

Tigger: Oh, must've been the wrong cord.

Piglet: Oh, dear!

(Gasps)

(All) Ghost! Ghost!

Tigger: Say, what's the matter with you guys?

(All) Look!

Tigger: What, that? Ha! It's only Eeyore.

Eeyore: Surprise, surprise.

Piglet: Oh, my, it "is" Eeyore.

Rabbit: Why, it's Eeyore!

Owl: Oh, I say, incredible!

Pooh: Oh, (Chuckles) so it is.

Gopher: Swell, but what about my ghost?

Tigger: No ghost. Just a donkey swingin' from the end of his parachute! Ha-ha! Uh, swingin' from the end of his parachute? Hey, Eeyore, you're swingin'!

Eeyore: Hooray for me.

Tigger: Ha-ha! Yeah, he came out at night to practice. And "I" was his coach.

Piglet: So there was no ghost all the time?

Pooh: Only Eeyore. (Chuckles) And he's a friendly ghost.

Rabbit: Oh, my! Look!

Owl: Oh, I say! That seems like fun!

Tigger: Yeah, Hey, wait a minute, donkey boy! I want a turn. Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

Rabbit: Me next! Me next!

Gopher: Say, how about me?

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear!

Pooh: I do hope we're not going to have to do this... "every" time he wants to swing.

Transcript[]

Rabbit: Tigger, that's too much corn, and you're holding it too close to the heat.

Tigger: Relax, Bunny boy! Poppin' corn is one of the things tiggers do best.

(Corn Popping)

(All) Whoops!

Rabbit: I knew you put too much corn in that popper!

Tigger: Oh, fiddlesticks! You just grew too much pop in your corn.

Gopher: I say... we toast marshmallows. They're less noisy, and I'm full of that puffy stuff.

Pooh: In that case, how about some honey? It's very unnoisy too. (Chuckles) Oh, bother. It's also very unfull. Have you ever heard... of a "honey moon", Piglet?

Piglet: It does sound familiar, Pooh. B-But tell me the story, anyway.

Tigger: Yeah, a ghost story... loaded with... uh, spookables!

Piglet: Yipe! Gh-Gh-Gh-Ghost story?

Tigger: This spooky spine-tingler is about... the Grab-Me-Gotcha, a shadowy shifteroo who loves to grab any shiverin' stranger... in his creepy-clawed clutches... right before he goes... "Gotcha!" (Yawns) Oh, well, I guess that's why he's called a Grab-Me-Gotcha... instead of a Please-Excuse-Me. Hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! Ah, pleasant dreams. T.T.F.N.

Rabbit: Hmmph! You didn't frighten me. I know there's no such thing as a Grab-Me-Gotcha. (Screams) It's in my sleeping bag!

Piglet: H-Have you noticed how dark and spooky... it is out here... all of a sudden?

Rabbit: Eh, take it from me, Piglet, there is no Grab-Me-Gotcha monster. Now go along to bed.

Pooh: Excuse me, Piglet, but that's not your sleeping bag. Is it?

Piglet: Heh, someone should stay up and protect the corn... from Grab-Me-Gotchas, don't you think?

Pooh: That's very kind of you, Piglet. While you look after the corn, would you mind if I looked after you?

Piglet: Not at all, Pooh?

Pooh: You know, Moon, you look as if you would fit right here in my honey pot. (Whispering) Do you think the moon has honey on it, Piglet?

Piglet: All I know, Pooh, is that is seems an awfully long way from home.

Pooh: Yes. It's so very high. I'd have to stay up for a long time to get there. (Yawns) And I'm too sleepy to stay up any longer.

Piglet: Night, Pooh.

Pooh: Good night, Piglet.

(All Snoring)

(Corn Popping)

Piglet: What's that, Pooh?

(All Yelling)

(Splash)

Rabbit: What is all this?

Gopher: Keep you lip buttoned, buster. The Grab-Me-Gotcha got Piglet and old Pooh Boy.

Rabbit: That's the most ridiculous thing I've...

(All) Shh!

Tigger: If we're gonna save Fluffy Boy and Piglet from that spookable, we have to be quiet so he doesn't grab us too.

Rabbit: But I tell you, there's no...

(All) Shh!

Rabbit: I have a feeling this is going to be a long night.

Piglet: Where are we, Pooh?

Pooh: (Gasps) Oh, my! Why, we've been popped to the moon! The honey moon! I wish I'd brought a larger pot... for all the moon honey I'm going to take back.

Piglet: Uh, Pooh, th-the moon always fades away at dawn. I think something faded away... would be awfully difficult to stand on, don't you?

Pooh: That's a good question, Piglet. Then we'd better hurry and find some of that moon honey.

Tigger: I'll bet you my stripes I can spot Pooh and Piglet... from the tippy top of this tree.

Rabbit: I wish Tigger would wipe his feet before he bounces. What do you think you're doing?

Gopher: Hmm. You just gave me an idea. We should camouflage ourselves... so the monster can't find us.

Tigger: Hmm, uh, I can't see hide nor seek of 'em. Say, what if old scaredy-face sees me first? Well, you can't scare what you can't find. He won't find a tigger for the trees. Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!

(All Scared)

Tigger: Ee-yuck! Them Grab-Me-Gotchas... out-uglied me by a mile.

(All) Yii!

Pooh: I giant moon bee!

Piglet: Oh, d-d-d-dear!

Rabbit: I don't care what you say, there are no Grab-Me-Gotchas.

Gopher: B-B-B-But you saw him with your own eyes! We gotta get outta here, by dingy!

Rabbit: There is nothing that's going to make me budge from this spot... until morning. Grab-Me-Gotchas, indeed.

(All Yelling)

Rabbit: Gopher, don't...

(Crash)

Piglet: The moon must be a very scare place... for someone to be scared of me. What now, Pooh?

Pooh: (Whispering) I think, Piglet, from now on we're going to have to be... very, very... careful!

Piglet: Oh, my! Where are we now?

Pooh: (Gasps) We must be inside a giant moon bee honeycomb. And where there's honeycombs, there's bound to be... moon honey!

Piglet: I just hope there aren't any more giant bees.

Tigger: Well, how did I know you was gonna disguise yourselves too?

Rabbit: I told you there was no monster. It was just us scaring ourselves silly.

Gopher: Oh, yeah?

Pooh: Yooo... hooo!

Gopher: Then where are Pooh and Piglet? (Screams)

Pooh: Moon honey! Where are youuuu?

Gopher: Who goes there?

Pooh: (Gasps) Listen, Piglet. That must be the honey calling. Pooh.... goes... here!

Tigger: Goodness gracious! It's the Grab-Me-Gotcha!

Pooh: Tell us where you are! I'm very ready for... a large smackerel of something! (Chuckles)

Rabbit: It talks like Pooh.

Tigger: Well, of course it sounds like Pooh. You are what you grab, you know.

Gopher: And now it wants... us! Yii!

Rabbit: Uh, perhaps we should retreat a-and think this over.

Tigger: Never mind the retreats. Let's get outta here!

(All Screams)

Piglet: That honey doesn't sound very friendly, Pooh.

Pooh: I think you're right, Piglet. It is time to go home.

Piglet: But how do we go home before the moon fades away, Pooh?

Pooh: It seems to me... that since we had to go very up to get here, we're going to have to go very down to get home.

Piglet: But we "are" down, Pooh.

Pooh: But not down enough. What we need is a falling start. (Chuckles) We simply have to go up. Come along, Piglet. We're going home.

Piglet: Up? Down? Oh, dear.

Rabbit: I will admit there is something strange going on. But so far, the only monsters I've seen are you two.

Tigger: Just remember, Long Ears, it's always darkest before the lawn. Besides, we got one thing on our side that the other joker's missin'.

Rabbit: What's that?

Tigger: Me! And I got a foolproof plan for savin' our buddies.

Pooh: With this sort of falling start, we'll be down and home in no time.

(Cock Crows)

Piglet: Oh, here comes the sun!

Pooh: Get ready to fall.

Piglet: That's an awfully tall down for such a very small animal.

Pooh: Hmm. Piglet... uh, you're right. And I, uh... wouldn't want to fall without you.

Piglet: Pooh? Does the moon make a sort of... crinkly, crackly sound when it fades?

Pooh: Why do you ask, Piglet?

(All Yelling)

Tigger: Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo! We'll scare the pants off... the first Grab-Me-Gotcha that walks in there.

Rabbit: For the last time, you're not going to catch anything... in that ridiculous trap because there is no such thing... as a Grab-Me-Gotcha.

(Crash)

Rabbit: (Screams) Help! Don't let it grab me! I surrender!

Gopher: Ha! Scaredy cat!

Piglet: Oh, Pooh, it worked. We're home.

Pooh: Yes. And being home from the moon... is just as sweet as the honey we didn't get. (Chuckles) Almost.

Tigger: What did you guys do with the monster?

Pooh: Why, we left them all on the moon.

Gopher: Hey, what's all this moon talk? Uh, weren't you grabbed by the Grab-Me-Gotcha?

Pooh: Uh, no. But we were chased... by all sorts of ugly moon creatures.

Piglet: Yes, there was this horrible little one with great big teeth, and a great big tall one with feelers coming out of his head... that looked like rabbit ears. But the worst were the giant bouncing bees... with stripes and beady little eyes. Oh, Tigger, I can't tell you how I am to be home.

Tigger: Bouncin' beady-eyed bees? Uh... nah, it couldn't be.

Piglet: Oh, d-d-dear.

Tigger: Gotcha! Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
