Fun and Fancy Free was released on home video in late 1982. When re-released in 1983, a 5-minute "Walt Disney and You" promo was attached after the movie. The lineup at the end of this promo consists of titles that were released before 1982.

At the end of the Walt Disney and You promo, you would briefly see the animation of the 1978 Walt Disney Home Entertainment logo. It would stop just as about half the "Neon Mickey" turns from blue to purple. Another logo, with the Sorcerer Mickey to the left and the words "The magic lives on... Walt Disney Home Video", would zoom in.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

An animated version of Jack and the Beanstalk. Mickey Mouse trades his cow for magic beans that grow into a huge beanstalk. The beanstalk leads to the giant's hideway where Mickey rescues the stolen harp and restores the land to prosperity. Dinah Shore narrates and sings the story of Bongo, the circus bear, who loves the glory of the spotlight, but is mistreated and shackled backstage.
